Our Purpose

Our purpose at Flow Athletics is to prepare the next generation of student-athletes for life on and off the playing surface.  Whether it be on court/field, in the classroom, at home, in the workplace, or beyond, our team of coaches and specialists are here to educate and mentor these future leaders by sharing our passion, stories, and experience.

Sports are supposed to be inclusive for all -- therefore our focus is on participation and encouraging kids to be multi-sport athletes for as long as possible.  We encourage goal setting and visualization. Our goal as coaches is to educate the student-athlete so that they can continue to learn, feel and see their progressions without a coach being present. Our belief is that when kids go outside and are active, they will find new ways of being confident.  Our experience has shown us that when a kid is active and confident, overall they are in a happier state of being. This can be achieved when kids are free to simply play the sports they are passionate about, experience failure and successes on their own terms, and learn to communicate with themselves and those around them.

We are able to do all the above through year-round programming, such as private training, small group sessions, after-school team sports, monthly clinics, seasonal camps, international tours, events (tournaments, fundraisers, etc.), and more.  We’ve begun developing and implementing curriculum into the classrooms through partnering with local schools.  We are in the process of creating a program that recruits, trains, and prepares local college student-athletes to work as referees for the schools in surrounding communities.  We have also started a scholarship program to help bridge the gap between the different demographics of our community and provide all kids with a fair chance at receiving positive coaching and mentorship.

We are constantly evolving and growing our network of families, but more importantly, masters of their crafts within the local community who are willing to teach and share their knowledge with not only the student-athletes but also our team at Flow Athletics. At the end of the day, our number one priority is to create opportunities for student-athletes to play a variety of sports and try new things in a safe, positive, and uplifting environment.

Bryan Hergenroether

Youth Development Coach

For the past 13 years, Bryan (Coach B) has dedicated his time to improving the game of basketball by assisting student-athletes in their journey from college to pro, building after-school programs to promote physical activity and getting outside, hosting basketball events to uplift and give back to inner-city communities of Los Angeles, and volunteering at local parks and recreation centers in order to pass on his experiences and knowledge. During his time in the sports industry, Coach B has found his true passion of working directly with the youth in hopes to have a positive impact on their lives and overall development on and off the court. His focus is to motivate and inspire kids to "B Active, B Confident, B Happy".

Coach B Sports was created in 2015 with the goal of providing the next generation with opportunities to get outside and play. The foundation of Coach B Sports programming is based around but not limited to basketball, flag football, beach & grass volleyball, golf, soccer, tennis, and baseball.

Bryan is currently coaching/mentoring the students of SBMS and leading them on quarterly adventures into the wilderness.  He is also working with PhD Hoops as a skills trainer and helping them grow their international tours for student-athletes.  When Bryan is not with the kids, he's assisting his father, Dr. Hergenroether at Laser Focused Chiropractic.
